Halloween doesn't have to be scary for families managing food allergies when you turn it into TEALOWEEN! There are a lot of ways you can make the holiday both safe and fun for your kids with food allergies. And you can even raise food allergy awareness at the same time.

When you support KFA, you advocate for better policies and protections for people with food allergies.
Your voice is represented when we meet with regulatory bodies like the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). We presented the excessive burden food allergies place on families and how our community needs more treatment options. We shared concerns about epinephrine shortages and costs. We also presented data and stories from our community about how difficult it is to live with sesame allergy and to ask the FDA to label sesame as a major allergen.
We're also working to make travel safer for people at risk of anaphylaxis. We met with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), airline representatives and several congressional offices about airline medical kits to advocate for the inclusion of epinephrine auto-injectors on flights.

The FDA has accepted the resubmission of DBV Technologies Viaskin Peanut patch. They will now review the application. If approved, the patch would deliver small amount of peanut protein through the skin, reducing the risk of severe allergy reactions. Read the press release for more information.
