WITH GREAT THANKS

In a year marked by uncertainty, we just wanted to say “thanks.”

Like many of you, AAFA has navigated through many overlapping crises this year.
  • The COVID-19 pandemic that has spiraled into a public health emergency and economic recession
  • A climate crisis that has led to extreme weather patterns, record-breaking wildfires, and massive health impacts related to natural disasters and air pollution
  • Widespread upheaval over racial injustices that has once again unmasked long-standing racial disparities in health
People with asthma and allergies have been significantly impacted by all of 2020’s emergencies. You helped us support our community through these challenges. Will you also consider helping us face the challenges of the coming year?

donation to AAFA means a donation for a community in great need.

RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY

Our partners at the Harvard Medical School and the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute are conducting a research study called AFFORD (Asthma in Families Facing Out-of-Pocket Requirements Due to COVID-19).

Who: We are looking for people who have lost insurance during the COVID-19 pandemic and have asthma and/or care for a child with asthma.

What: This study looks at the effect of an insurance navigation assistance program on helping people with asthma regain coverage. The navigation assistance will include online information and the opportunity to get insurance information from trained navigators from AAFA.

If you are qualified and chosen to participate in this study, you will receive all study-related interventions at no cost! You will also be reimbursed for your time participating in this study.

Learn more and find out if you qualify to participate.
