Honoring Congressman Elijah Cummings, Asthma and Allergy Advocate

Congressman Elijah Cummings (D-MD) passed away on Oct. 17, 2019, after years of dedicated service to our country. AAFA, along with many others, are mourning the loss of this influential advocate for people with asthma and allergies.


Epinephrine Auto-Injectors on Planes

While many planes stock vials of epinephrine, they may not stock epinephrine auto-injectors which are easier to access and administer. AAFA recently met with the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA) to discuss stocking epinephrine auto-injectors on planes. Have you had an allergy emergency on a flight? Share your story with AAFA. We will continue to meet with airline industry representatives, the Department of Transportation and Congress about this issue and will bring your stories with us.
