Groups Oppose EPA's Efforts to Weaken Carbon Pollution Limits

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently proposed to weaken the Carbon Pollution Standards for New, Modified and Reconstructed Power Plants. GINA Recommends Use of FeNO Monitoring for Difficult-to-Treat and Severe Asthma Management

The Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) released a statement recommending that fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) testing be used to monitor difficult-to-treat and severe asthma. FeNO testing is a lung function test that measures the amount of nitric oxide in your lungs. The presence of nitric oxide shows there is inflammation in your airways. It can be a helpful tool to diagnose asthma and tell if your treatment plan is working. Find out more about the GINA recommendations.

Help Save Others Like Javan
On Feb. 17, 2018, Javan Allison took a shower and wrote "help me" on the steamy bathroom mirror with his finger. He was struggling to breathe and having a severe asthma attack.

"Normally, we would catch his asthma attacks and be in the emergency room for a couple of hours. This time, he was in the ICU for a week," reports his mom Monique Cooper-Allison.

Asthma is a chronic disease. It can be life-threatening. Each day, 10 people die from asthma. AAFA needs your support so we can continue to save lives and reduce asthma deaths.
Thank you for your continued support.
