"Her teacher, being awesome, told me a couple weeks ago that there would be crayfish in the classroom as part of a science block they're doing and she didn't know how to handle it because of K's allergy."

What to do if one child has an allergy and the other doesn't?

"We were advised to feed the baby peanut butter once a week to maintain the absence of the allergy. However, that not only means reintroducing peanuts into our home. Given the ages of our boys, I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around what is the best way to accomplish this."
