Share the #TealLove this Valentine's Day! What is #TealLove? It is being inclusive of those with food allergies by:
  • Encouraging non-food gifts and treats
  • Having allergy-friendly options if there are food treats
  • Pledging to read food labels to help keep kids with food allergies safe
Save and share all of our Valentine's Day awareness images on your social media profile!
Valentine's Day is linked with candy and sweets. For children with food allergies, this can mean being excluded or feeling unsafe. Focusing on non-food gifts and activities allows them to safely enjoy the holiday. Read on for ideas to use in your classroom and share our handout with your school, parents' group and more!
Do you know there may be ingredient label differences among candy conversation hearts? Or chocolate kisses? Or other types of Valentine's Day candy? Make sure your child knows not to accept treats from others until the label is carefully checked by a trusted adult. See real-life label examples of Valentine's candy for sale this month.

Sign the Petition to Save Patient Access to Allergy Shots

Regulations are being considered that would make it more difficult for patients to receive allergen immunotherapy (allergy shots) in their allergist's office. The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) launched a petition on change.org so you can let the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) know you are concerned about the proposed changes. Sign the petition here.
