Van de Bestuurstafel

Al 25 jaar+ zet NVTAG zich in voor "technology assessment" in de Nederlandse zorg. Want we hebben als samenleving beperkte middelen en die willen we zo goed mogelijk inzetten. Toch? En dan hebben we het al snel over kosten en effecten, ICER's en QALYs. We hebben een mooi vakgebied dat zich ontwikkelt, maar dat ook een aantal vertrouwde pijlers heeft.

NVTAG Symposium: Fitting, or one-size-fits-all

The NVTAG 2022 symposium will be held at the 24^th of November, the symposium will take place at cursus- en vergadercentrum Domstad in Utrecht.

Fitting, or one-size-fits-all
In this year's symposium, we aim to provide an insight into the advancements in personalized healthcare but also go into the challenges from development, health economic modelling, and decision-making based on HTA and a societal perspective.

This years program starts with inspiring presentations by PhD candidates Sajad Emamipour, Carina Behr, and Xinyu Li.

We are very pleased to announce our speakers, Joop de Langen, Veerle Coupé, and Annuska Glas.

In the Spotlight: MaastrichtHETA

History
In 1960, the economist, Lou Groot, received his PhD for the dissertation ‘Price formation of hospital services’ and in the late seventies he became the first Dutch professor in health economics appointed at Maastricht University. As a result, Maastricht can be regarded as one of the national cradles of health economics and health technology assessment (HTA) and has a longstanding tradition in both fields of research. Since the foundation of Maastricht University, some 50 years ago, health economics and HTA has been a core discipline in both research and teaching. Researchers from Maastricht together with Rotterdam were the initiators and organizers of the first Low Lands Health Economists’ Study Group (LoLaHESG) in Maastricht in 2008. In 2018, researchers from Maastricht organized the European Conference on Health Economics (EuHea) with over 900 registered participants.
