Kornelia Szabo

Kornelia was awarded the Women in Tech Scholarship from ThoughtWorks and Makers Academy

"I started my coding journey in May 2015. I originally studied psychology but started to teach myself some code and quickly realised that I liked it. I started to attend lots of fun meetings, like the Code First: Girls beginners and Python advanced courses and the Summer Bootcamp. I built my own website just after 6 months. Through the tremendous amount of help from CF: G courses and coaches I was super keen to join the industry.

When I heard about the Makers Academy and ThoughtWorks Women in Tech scholarship I was super excited and I pushed myself to do the best interview possible. Being able to go to Makers Academy and work for ThoughtWorks in the near future means the world to me right now. It's a dream come true."
