Be sure to count everyone who usually lives and sleeps in your home as of today. Everyone in your home counts, whether they are relatives, non-relatives, friends, or roommates. Also don’t forget to count all children, particularly those under the age of 5 and those babies who have joined our world on or before April 1.
Please remind family, friends, and neighbors of the importance of filling out the 2020 Census.
The data collected helps determine how more than $675 billion in Federal funds each year will get distributed to states and communities. These funds support critical services including transportation, education, health care, and food assistance. The resulting population totals also determine the allocation of the 435 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives.
The only way to ensure that you are included in all the Census counts as American Indian is to check just that ONE box on the paper form. Fill in your tribal affiliation too. (You are not limited to the space on the form.) Check out the Race & Tribal Affiliation One-Pager here for more info: http://ow.ly/6eD850yUBpL
