View this email in your browser

OPENING DAY:
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 1-4 p.m.

In 2014 Wonderfeet welcomed 4274 visitors through the doors at 17 Center Street. The year was undoubtedly a success. It was full of programs, partnerships, fundraising and especially kids and their families exploring, creating and imagining through play. Success and demand has allowed Wonderfeet to expand in a new and bigger space.

As Wonderfeet embarks upon this new and expanded venture down the street at 11 Center Street people are coming together and an exciting future is assembling into place. Here are a few things you will see as we start 2015:

EXHIBITS:

Here's a little bit about the new exhibits that will either be up and running when the new space is opened or shortly thereafter:

Infant/Toddler Space – Explore shapes, colors and textures in this special closed in space for young ones and their parents.

Diner – Create a salad, make a pizza and role play as a chef. Appreciate the ways your child role-plays in a grown up world, relates to peers and makes decisions.

GE Challenge – Design, create and test your creations using LEGOs (TM) and small robots.

Cave – Explore light and shadow in a special cave. Built inside the bank vault on site.

Our exhibits foster curiosity and exploration, inspire creativity and engage the imagination through play. As you play with your children you will discover new ways they demonstrate their creativity, social interaction and problem-solving skills. Explore! Create! Imagine!

IMAGINATION CHALLENGE

The museum will come to you with the Imagination Playground. The Imagination Playground is a set of oversized blue blocks that are like nothing your students have ever seen before. They’re oddly formed with unique, abstract shapes that make students curious and want to start building immediately. This multi-grade program includes an opening assembly program, and individual grade level challenges for pre-k – second grade.

Cost is $750 for the entire program.

Shiver Me Shamrocks St. Patty's Fun Run 2015

Join us for the second annual Shiver Me Shamrocks St. Patty’s 5K Fun Run on March 14, 2015 to benefit the Wonderfeet Kids Museum in Rutland, Vermont. You might not get a pot o’ gold, but you might work off a pot belly!COSTUMES ARE ENCOURAGED!

The first 200 runners to sign up get a t-shirt and a winter hat. After the race join your fellow runners and walkers to share in a little St. Patty’s celebration at Hop 'N Moose for an after party.  Your race entry entitles you to a complimentary draft beer or non-alcoholic beverage of choice.  There will be raffle drawings, music, drink and food specials and lots of fun.  Race prizes will be awarded at the after party.  So plan to stop down and celebrate!

Early sign up is a $25 donation, and runs through February 28. After February 28, the donation is $30.

New to 2015! The FREE Leprechaun Leap Fun Run for kids down Center Street at 1pm! Prizes for best costume!

Race day registration opens at noon at Heritage Family Credit Union’s parking lot on 50 West Street. Cash or check will only be accepted as payment at the day of the race.

We love dogs, and strollers are so helpful, but due to the possibility of weather coated roads, we think they are safer at home. So, please no dogs or strollers on the course.

We encourage runners, joggers, and all forms of walkers to enjoy the day, however race course assistance will end 60 minutes after the start of the race.  Anyone taking longer than 60 minutes to finish, does so at their own risk.
