Plan to attend these key Respect Life events

Gospel of Life Double Header: We are thrilled to announce that we will be featuring nationally-known Cathy Ruse, who will be speaking on Sex Education in Public Schools: Sexualization and LGBT Indoctrination. Because of the importance of this topic, she will be speaking at St. Thomas More Catholic Parish on the evening of Friday, October 22, and at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Parish on Saturday morning, October 23. More details forthcoming.

Celebrate Life Events: Our date has been secured! Please MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW for Saturday, January 15, 2022! Pull together a team at your parish if you have not already done so, and make plans ahead of time for your strong participation! Consider an early Mass where you are, and appropriate refreshments for travel if you bus in, etc. Design parish banners, swag, tshirts, hats, flags, etc., to set yourselves apart from the crowd in an exciting way!

Prayer in the Square: Bring family and friends to pray in public on Saturday, August 7, at various locations on the Front Range. See locations and times at
PrayerintheSquare.com. Does your parish host public prayer as a powerful witness in your neighborhood? If not, it’s time to contact us to gain information on how to do this. Reach us at life@ccdenver.org.

40 Days for Life 365: We are officially registered to host the Denver 40 Days for Life 365 as a new location, and we encourage you to attend our kick-off event from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14. See details in this flyer. The aim is to have a prayer presence outside the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, at 7155 E. 38th Ave., in Denver the 365 days of the year. Also, if you would like to create your account with the 40 Days for Life Denver visit our page 40DaysforLife.com/Denver and sign up.

Support Pro-life Policies: The Catholic bishops of Colorado are encouraging support of the Hyde Amendment and related pro-life policies. "We also ask the Faithful to sign The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) petition to lawmakers encouraging them to preserve the Hyde Amendment, which can be accessed at: NoTaxpayerAbortion.com and to contact their Congressmen and women...," reads part of a July 22 letter that can be found on the Colorado Catholic Conference website.

Eucharistic Procession: Plan now to bring friends and family to this powerful event where we bring “Jesus to the streets” and fervently pray as we process around Planned Parenthood in northeast Denver. Please save the date of Saturday, Oct. 2.

Listen Every Week: Respect Life Radio, hosted by Deacon Geoff Bennett, airs each week on the Catholic Radio Network (1060 AM) with podcast downloads available at RespectLifeRadio.com. Hear this week's interview with Christine Wohar: Pursuing holiness with Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati.

Our Lady of Fatima Statue: Our beautiful traveling statue of Our Lady of Fatima is heading up to the mountains for the summer months. If your parish has not yet hosted the Statue of Our Lady of Fatima, book your parish/school for a fall visit now by by clicking on this link. Did you know? There are various websites for national news and opinion on life-affirming issues. We do not endorse these sites, but offer them for your consideration: LifeSiteNews, The Loop from Catholic Vote, Live Action News.

In this time of paranoia over invisible viruses, we must comfort ourselves with the reminder that Our Heavenly Father is the God of Science, and continues His supernatural oversight of our world. As our family was painstakingly working through doctrinal issues before our conversion to Catholicism, my science-oriented brain was dumbstruck to come across the phenomena of INCORRUPT SAINTS. Their preservations have challenged the opinions of skeptics, while contraindicating and defying the laws of nature throughout many, many generations. Explore the book: The Incorruptibles by Joan Carroll Cruz!!
