Discussion on Traffic Calming at Mattituck Curve

The Mattituck-Laurel Civic Association has spent the past year gathering ideas from the communityabout how to make the intersection of Route 25, Love Lane and Old Sound Avenue safer for traffic, pedestrians and the community. The civic group will hold a special meeting next Saturday, March 19 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Mattituck Presbyterian Church to discuss the findings of their survey and make recommendations to Southold Town, New York State and Suffolk County.

The fourth annual Long Island Natural History Conference will take place Friday and Saturday, March 18 and 19 in the Berkner auditorium at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
