Member Spotlight

Treasurer – Kirsten Burns
Kirsten Burns has a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Central Florida. She is working for Reiss Engineering as a Project Engineer focused on water and wastewater treatment design and modeling. In her spare time she likes to go to the beach and exercise.

Kirsten was a member of SWE in college though was more involved in the Society of Environmental Engineers where she held the position of Treasurer. With her experience as a Treasurer in college student organizations Kirsten feels that she can confidently take on the role of Treasurer in the SWE student chapter.

Kirsten looks forward to supporting the other officers and being more involved in the professional chapter. She plans to keep the chapter budget organized, to ensure chapter operation and success within the budget,  and to stay on top of payments and any other responsibilities related to chapter finances.
