From the Managing Director
Industry Friends,
We are sad to share the news with you of Charlie DeLorme’s death this week. Knowing Charlie meant knowing the best of Utah tourism. His whole life was hospitality. Back of house restaurant worker. World-renowned guide and outfitter. San Juan County Economic Development Director. Utah Tourism Hall of Fame Inductee. Charlie was all of this and more. We all remember things he taught us about the land, the water, the people of southern Utah and the fundamentals of a strong industry.
This is the second death this fall of an industry leader in San Juan County. Last month we mourned the passing of Cindy Tumeh, owner of the iconic Desert Rose Resort & Cabins.
As we head into the Thanksgiving holidays, we express gratitude to great industry leaders, and our best wishes to their loved ones at this time of loss.

Vicki Varela
Managing Director
