COVID-19 Funding Still Available
SBA Paycheck Protection Program (PPP)
Congress allocated $310 billion in Round 2 of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), which can cover 2.5 times your average monthly payroll, and can also be used to cover mortgages, leases and utility expenses. The amount of that loan used for payroll may be forgiven, effectively making it a grant. More than $100 billion was still available mid-week, and we encourage all who qualify to apply. More information is in the Paycheck Protection Program Loan FAQ (PDF) from the Small Business Administration
Commercial Rental Assistance Program
We previously shared information on the Commercial Rental Assistance Program, which provides rental relief to Utah small businesses that have lost revenue as a result of measures taken during the pandemic to minimize the public’s exposure to COVID-19. There is still plenty of funding available. Businesses leasing property that have been affected 50% or more for one month qualify. Information for ComRent Assistance Program is available here and GOED program details are available here (criteria, eligibility, application link).
