Zach Fyne Joins International Team

Join us in welcoming Zach Fyne, the newest member of the UOT International team! Zach joins the team as a Global Markets Specialist and will be managing the primary markets of China, Australia/New Zealand, and Canada, and secondary Asian and Latin American markets, including Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mexico, and Brazil. 

Zach attended the University of Florida with work experience in London, New Zealand, and New York City before graduating. Following a stint working at a US Army ski resort in Garmisch, Germany, he moved further into the ski industry working for Vail Resorts in the international wholesale division in Colorado. Backpacking and traveling South America and Spain solidified his grasp on Spanish, before landing a role as the International Marketing Manager with Visit Park City. When he’s not snowboarding The Greatest Snow on Earth®, Zach is road tripping across the west, learning new languages, and constantly on the lookout for a great place for chocolate. 

New Nonstop Service from Frankfurt

We are pleased to announce the new nonstop service from Frankfurt to Salt Lake City International Airport with Lufthansa's subsidiary Eurowings Discover! The flight will launch May 23, 2022, operating three times a week from May - October, and is now bookable. As a subsidiary to Lufthansa, the route will be accessed via the German flag carrier’s expansive and world-class Frankfurt hub with access to over 160 destinations in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia. The UOT International team and our German in-market representative firm, led by Sarah Harwardt at Harwardt Marketing, have integrated the new carrier and flight into our marketing plans for FY22 in the German-speaking markets of Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.

Utah has been recognized for global industry leadership! Despite the pandemic, the Utah Office of Tourism International team found ways to innovate, educate, and lead. The UOT International team remains engaged, working on product development, and inspiring future travel. From the launch of the Walker Tracker program to the virtual sales missions, the team has 'pivoted,' and we are honored to share the feedback we have received from international partners on what this commitment means to them and their businesses.
