Small Business Quarantine Grant

This month, the Utah Labor Commission announced a new Small Business Quarantine Grant program. This grant provides reimbursement to small businesses for staff members who were paid to stay home during quarantine or isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

To be eligible businesses must have:

  • 50 employees or fewer in Utah.
  • One or more employees notified to quarantine or isolate due to positive COVID-19 exposure.
  • Continued pay of regular wages to employee(s) during quarantine or isolation.

“Zoom Town” GNAR Webinar Series

If you participated in this year’s tourism conference, you may have heard the term “Zoom Towns” — communities outside of urban centers that are growing due to increased remote working.

The GNAR (Gateway and Natural Amenity Region) Initiative is starting a three-month web series to share data and insights and to start a dialog about this phenomenon.

The series is intended for gateway community leaders, planners, land managers, and organizations that support these gateway communities. GNAR is encouraging those who are interested in attending the virtual series to RSVP
