IT'S ALMOST SHOW TIME!

Midland Park High School proudly presents their annual school musical: Thoroughly Modern Millie. Performance dates are Friday and Saturday, March 18 and 19, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 20, at 1 p.m.

Thoroughly Modern Millie, set in the 1920s, tells the story of a small-town girl, Millie Dillmount, who comes to New York City to marry for money instead of love. Her plans don't turn out quite the way she thought they would.

The show stars Paulina Hill as Millie Dillmount, Justin Lange as Trevor Graydon, Rebekah Braun-McGovern as Miss Dorothy Brown, Olivia Fairless as Mrs. Meers, Eamonn Timoney as Jimmy Smith, and Emily Moran as Muzzy VanHossemere. The show is directed and produced by Donna Halliwell and choreographed by Joanne Cannata.

On February 17, the High School and Middle School Bands had a rehearsal with Composer Chris Bernotas. The bands worked through three selections and had a chance to preview his new book that is being released in the fall. After he finished at the HS, Mr. Bernotas made his way to Highland School to work with the Advanced Band. He later posted on his website "Really enjoyed working with the bands in the Midland Park School District today! Some wonderful things are happening with these kids and it is a credit to their directors, David Marks and Jeffrey Peters. Thank you for having me.  Bravo!"  Two of the pieces we worked on will be featured on the Spring Concert in May.
