Writers' Night Out ~~ December 5

What You MUST Know How to Do on Your Computer

Alison will be joined by visiting writer, Darren Cormier of Boston, MA.

This evening will accomplish two things:
  1. The launch of our new cyber hang out: Village Coffee Shop, a private--even SECRET--forum where we can connect and share our writing journey.
  2. A general computer clinic to provide basic skills useful to writers. Bring your questions.

We have great plans for the Village Coffee Shop as a tool to help us MOVE FORWARD.

VILLAGE WRITERS: STRONGER & BETTER TOGETHER

Bring Your Laptops. If you don't have a laptop, we will use our computers to set you up on the Village Coffee Shop. Everyone will leave connected!! No writer left behind!

We will have pizza available by the slice. Or bring your own victuals to keep your strength up for this important evening.

Start the new year empowered and connected!

Writers' Circles to meet on Saturday.
Darren Cormier will join us.

Darren and Mike Hancock enjoy the arts in Eureka Springs.
Twitterstories Author to Return This Week

Darren Cormier will be visiting from Wednesday to Sunday of this week. Some of us attended Darren's reading last year of his book of twitterstories entitled "A Little Soul."

Darren has an MFA in fiction, graduating in Alison's class at Southern New Hampshire University. He works for Pearson Press, the world's leading education publisher. Pearson's curriculum materials and multimedia learning tools educate millions of people worldwide, from pre-school to high school, early learning to professional certification. Pearson owned Penguin until last summer, when they merged it with Random House.

Darren is a social media expert, a computer geek, and a writer of flash fiction. The Village Writing School will make every effort to exploit him as much as possible during his visit. He will be teaching computer skills at Writers' Night Out on Thursday and will be editing and critiquing our stories on Saturday at the Writers' Circles.
