Writers' Night Out
Sometimes We Work - Sometimes We Play

This Thursday, we will have a group discussion/tutorial on the writing software, Scrivener. This very affordable program is a writer's dream.

Bring your laptop and get started with a free 30-day trial.  Learn some tricks your fellow writers use. If you don't use a laptop, look on with a fellow writer and cheer him on.

We will have another organic, veggie, gluten-free soup. The eating starts at 5 pm with discussion to follow.

And on January 30, MOVIE NIGHT with Midnight in Paris a WONDERFUL movie for writers.  Soup at 5 and then the movie.

NEW Writing Circle Forming in NWA

We have enough students now to have a writing circle in the Fayetteville-to-Bentonville area. Laurie Reichart will be the facilitator and Alison will Skype in. We will try to find a central location for everyone. If you are interested in joining this new group, contact Laurie at lreichart@hotmail.com.
Some of the 21 writers who gathered to eat veggie chili and hear Darren and Jonathan at Writers' Night Out.
Every week, a different program.

We have fun getting ready for Thursday nights!
SATURDAY'S WORKSHOP
Due to the large attendance, we moved First Thoughts/Character to the convention center. The rest of the workshops in the series will be offered twice.
About half of those attending were new to us, and we welcome you to our program and our writing community.

F E A T U R I N G  !

Step # 1 -Rebecca Mahoney is going to teach a workshop from New Hampshire via Skype on how to write a feature article. Thursday afternoon, Feb. 6.

Step # 2 - Village Writers will choose a local business to write about in a feature article.

Step # 3 - Alison will work with us to polish and publish our stories. We will submit them to at least five publications.

It's a True VILLAGE Project!

The following businesses are in and want to be FEATURED!  Eureka Thyme, Olden Days Carriage Ride, Quigley's Castle, the costume shop in Pine Mountain Village, Stringed Instrument Peddler, Hidden Valley Ranch, and Hart's Grocery

Some other cool ones to do might be Prospect Gallery, Eurekan Art, Joy Motel, Studio 62, Medical Park Pharmacy. Lots of possibilities.

Be sure and speak up for the business you would like to write about. Only one writer per business.
