IT'S SHOW TIME!
Thursday Writer's Night Out will began a few weeks on the theme of Characterization to dovetail with our next two upcoming workshops on Character.

Professional actors Keith Scales and Alice French will perform a scene from Betrayal by Pinter. We writers will use our skills to convey the characters' and the scene's subtext for a reader. Prepare to be impressed, learn something important, and become a better writer.

Thursday at 6 pm at the Garden Bistro in Eureka.
Larry Mansker's memoir, Brush for Hire, is complete! Featuring his art and the stories behind it, Brush for Hire is a candid look at the life of a Eureka legend.

Bring Your Characters Off the Page
Make us Love them.  Make us Care.

This Saturday's afternoon workshop, taught by Jan Morrill, will give us techniques to make those people live. Morrill's debut novel, The Red Kimono (U of A Press), tells the story of three young Americans caught in the racial madness of World War II, so she knows how to probe the depths of a character's inner angst.  Come learn from a master.

Dreams Do Come True!
Adios!
No, we don't want the furnace and the water heater in the room. Richard and our new friend Larry study how to hide the uglies.
No more uglies!
