Junior Faculty: Jump Start Your Biomedical Research Career
 

Are you an assistant professor at a Tufts CTSI-affiliated institution with a planned, current, or recently completed K or career development award? Would you like to take your research career to the next level? Apply for Tufts CTSI's Junior Faculty Research Career Development Forum. This monthly series of 90-minute sessions focuses on research activities such as specific aims, grant applications, grant re-submissions, and manuscript preparation and revisions.

Admission to the Forum is by application only: selected junior faculty will commit to one year of participation. Videoconferencing will be available for attendees unable to travel to the Tufts Boston campus.

To apply, submit a biosketch, a brief letter expressing your goals for participating in the Forum, and a letter of nomination from your research or career mentor to info@tuftsctsi.org by Monday, August 31. For more information, please visit the Forum web page.
 

Survey of Pharmaceutical Sciences Course Starts September 9


Interested in new medical products such as drugs, biologics, vaccines, medical devices, and in vitro diagnostics?  Learn the fundamental concepts of therapeutic product development at the Fall 2015 Survey of Pharmaceutical Sciences, part of the Biopharma Program offered by Tufts University School of Medicine and Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development. Wednesdays, 2:00 - 4:00PM at 136 Harrison Avenue, Room 102, Boston, starting September 9.

You do not need to be enrolled in a degree program to take the Survey of Pharmaceutical Sciences course -- simply enroll as a non-degree student by August 26. To start the process, fill out the online contact form.

How well do you know yourself? Find out how your approach to the world influences your motivation, leadership, and team participation at Knowing Yourself and Knowing Others: Implications for Leadership and Team Participation, Friday, September 18, 3:30PM, Jaharis Building, Behrakis Auditorium (150 Harrison Avenue, Boston).

This workshop by Laurel K. Leslie, MD, MPH, former Tufts CTSI Associate Director for Community Engagement and current Vice President of Research at the American Board of Pediatrics Research, was previously offered in the Women in Medicine/Science Lecture Series and as part of the Community Service Learning Series for medical students.
