Welcome to our latest Chamber newsletter
With the new year upon us, it's important to remind ourselves that setting goals (both professionally and personally) can provide you and your business direction and purpose.
We're kicking off our first Chamber event for 2023 with "goal setting" and "planning" in mind. We encourage our Chamber members to come along to our Link Lunch with Varntige on Wed 22 Feb.
Over the past 8 years, Chantelle Good, Owner of Varntige, has put into practice a series of steps that she follows each year. She will teach those steps and provide you with the forms she uses to make sure you have a successful year too! Don't miss out, register now!

Ahu Ake - Waipa Community Spatial Plan:
Special Presentation to Chamber Members
Planning for the future of Waipā
Waipā District Council is in the early stages of developing Ahu Ake – Waipā Community Spatial Plan which will determine what our district, towns and villages will look like in 2050. It will cover how we’ll manage growth, how we’ll move around, how we’ll care for the environment and how we’ll support our economy.
In short, Ahu Ake is the most important plan Council will create for our district. But the plan needs you - our Chamber members input!
Waipā District Council has some early ideas on what the future could look like, and they need your input.
You can take a look at what they have put together so far here.
They'd like to know:
• Is this the future you see for yourself and your whānau?
• Are there things we have missed?
• What is most important to you?
Join the team on Friday 10 March for a mid-morning presentation by Waipā District Council Mayor Susan O'Regan, Council Group Manager Strategy Kirsty Downey and Senior Strategic Planner Vanessa Honore who will discuss the project in more detail, answer any questions you may have and hear your feedback on the plan.
This is a starting point, and Council is looking forward to working with you to plan for our future.
