What if the idea that faith and science are inherently opposed began to collapse?
The Principle is an engaging, 90 minute journey through the cosmos, which chronicles cosmologists and their collective insight into some of the most intriguing sets of scientific data humankind has ever collected. The analysis will change the way we view physics, cosmology and the universe forever.
Set for theatrical release on October 24th, The Principle includes narration by Kate Mulgrew (“Star Trek Voyager”, “Orange is the New Black”, and “Ryan’s Hope”), stunning animations by BUF Compagnie Paris (“Life of Pi” and “Thor”) and commentary from prominent scientists including George Ellis, Michio Kaku, Julian Barbour, Lawrence Krauss, and Max Tegmark.
Because The Principle takes an authentic Catholic perspective and is sure to generate discussion among parishioners, we’re inviting local priests to privately screen the film through a password-protected link on their desktop or laptop computers before the film arrives in movie theaters. If your pastor or associate pastor would like to arrange a screening, please call 617.212.1302 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Here’s what some pastors are saying already:
"Wow! I couldn't stop watching it. It raises important questions and at least opens dialogue that has huge theological implications. The importance of the human person and the unimaginably enormous love of God is at the very least considered again after seeing this film. Thank you!"
- Fr. Joe Jablonski, St. Joseph Catholic Church
"The Principle does a wonderful job at presenting the historical context of the Copernican theory and its assumptions. The Principle is thought provoking and illustratively exciting. I believe it does justice to a very difficult debate in Cosmology and Physics that ultimately renders any good student of science to questions of philosophy and theology.
- Fr. Esequiel Sanchez, St. Bede the Venerable Church
