The Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) 2020 Sponsorship Challenge

We invite you ALL to take part!

The Idea
People pledge a Random Act of Kindness (RAK). RAK's are then collated by Kate and shared with all our friends and supporters who, we hope, then select a RAK they would like to sponsor. The pledged RAKs are then made manifest!

__________________________________

How to Contribute

1. Over the next few days  think of a RAK  you would like to pledge
2. Send details to Kate Roddick at RAK2020@gomde.uk
3. Please provide your name, a short description of the RAK and when the act will approximately occur.
4. Pledges will be collated and offered to our wider friends and supporters for sponsorship via our newsletter
5. Sponsors select a RAK they wish to sponsor and then inform Kate of their sponsorship and amount.
6. Sponsors make their donation to Gomde and following this the RAK is then manifested.

What can my RAK be?

A RAK can be spiritual deeds, practical kind acts, favours in your community or simply something fun to make us laugh and spread smiles! Just simple things you can do whilst in lock down.

Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche’s Shedrub Mandala:
our wider news - sharing teachings and resources.

Though much in the world has slowed down in the face of these difficult times, activity continues to unfold within Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche’s Shedrub Mandala. Rinpoche’s students continue developing our Gomde Centers and Dharma Houses, serving our local communities, translating the Buddhist teachings, studying Buddhism online at RYI, and studying and practicing dharma at our monastery and nunnery in Nepal, at our international centers (for those who reside there), and in our own homes across the world. In short, together we all continue to carry out a multitude of profoundly beneficial dharma activities, all with Rinpoche’s blessings and guidance.

We wanted to take this opportunity to share with you some resources that are being made available to support your personal dharma study and practice during this time, as well as some news about beneficial activities that are taking place within our Mandala.

Please follow this link to access this rich resource!

During this time of increased uncertainty all over the world Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche has said that it is very important for us to spend time receiving teachings. With these instructions in mind, and with the knowledge that many of us are now in quarantine at home, we are making a collection of teachings available for you on Shedrub.org. Many of these videos, which include teachers from across our entire mandala, have never been publicly released.

May countless beings benefit
With love
Team Gomde
