Rain of Blessings

Dear friends; new, old and yet to be,

The very nicest thing about living in the centre of a peat moor is that it is only possible to rejoice when it rains here. Rain nurtures this rare habitat and all the species that depend upon it. In the midst of the downpours last night suddenly the light changed, softened and a quiet expectancy unfolded; a double rainbow flooded the sky heralding blessings about to manifest. We are overjoyed that Khen Rinpoche and Lama Oser arrive at Gomde today! It is indeed wonderful for the centre and all our students and visitors. If you would like to spend a few days at Gomde during this precious time, please do not hesitate to contact us to make arrangements.

Our annual programme is rich. Please see below an overview. With the support of Rinpoche, the monastery and Lama Oser we steadily move towards a comprehensive curriculum for all; from very beginners to long term practitioners. We do hope you have the good fortune to visit and look forward to welcoming all our friends; new, old and yet to be.

Andreas Doctor – the Buddhist response to the Climate Crisis
Does an ancient religion have anything meaningful to contribute to a time filled with such unprecedented climate challenges? Weekend workshop and open public talk.

Khenpo Tokpa Tulku recently finished an amazing set of teachings which included using The Wheel of Life – "Buddha’s first power point!" Khenpo has a rare gift of making the teachings very accessible real and applicable.  Here is one of the many jewels Khenpo shared with us   ‘We think that freedom is being able to do what we like, following after all the things we think about. When you properly consider this view, it is easy to see that it is entirely mistaken and only leads to suffering’

One day very soon, may we all be truly free
