Dear Sangha family,
It has been very meaningful to practice together as a community over the past week following Kyabje Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche’s parinirvana and during the period of his tukdam. In accordance with Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche’s wish that we continue our practices and ceremonies together, Lama Tenzin Sangpo will continue to lead prayers for the international sangha.
Practices will continue on Monday, December 28th with group chanting of the Narak Kongshak and the Treasury of Dharmadhatu (Chöying Dzöd). This revered text, one of Longchenpa’s Seven Great Treasuries, elucidates the nature of the basic space of phenomena and the heart of the Dzogchen view. For those who do not read Tibetan, you can read along with Lama Tenzin in the English version of the text, which will be available in the support materials folder (linked below) by the start of the first session.
After several days, once we have completed chanting the Treasury of Dharmadhatu, we will transition to reading aloud Chanting the Names of Manjushri (Mañjuśrī-Nāma-Saṃgīti).
We encourage everyone to prepare for this monlam by reading Patrul Rinpoche’s, Exhortation to Read “The Seven Treasures,” which will soon be available in the support materials folder, linked under “Practice Materials” below.

The internet connection in Gomde Pyrénées varies greatly in speed and reliability from day to day, so we ask that everyone remain flexible and bear with any connectivity issues. Please remember that the texts will be made available in the support materials folder listed above by the first sessions, so if the connectivity is disrupted then you can always continue your session by continuing to read aloud on your own.
As an offering to our community, Chagdud Gompa/Padma Publishing, Chagdud Khandro, and Richard Barron, have generously given us permission to use Richard Barron’s translation of the Chöying Dzöd, which has been kindly rendered in pecha format by Marla Boletta for these ceremonies. Those who have given us permission to use this text for these purposes ask that the translation not be shared or printed beyond use in these ceremonies. We extend our deep appreciation for this gesture, and additionally offer our gratitude to all of the volunteers and organizers across the mandala for their help in creating these practice opportunities and for sharing this information across the international sangha at this time.
As a final note, Lama Tenzin Sangpo has kindly agreed to additionally make the regular daily morning sessions of the Single Form of Vajrasattva, sang (smoke offering), and white sur offering available at 6:00 am – 7:00 am CET through the Zoom link above.
We hope you will continue to join Lama Tenzin Sangpo and our global community for these practices, and that you are experiencing the deep benefits of the Dharma at this time.
