Come check out all the great ways we can keep you and your kids busy this summer! We have swim lessons, Surf 'N Splash Camp for 7-15 year olds, a youth summer swim team (part of the Snohomish County Craze Summer Swim League), lots of open rec swim/lap sessions and more. Join Us At Olympic Day

Join us at Olympic Day from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 23!

Olympic Day, held annually on June 23, is celebrated by millions of people in more than 160 countries. Commemorating the birth of the modern Olympic Games in 1894, Olympic Day’s mission is to promote fitness, well-being, culture and education, while promoting the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect. The Olympic Day pillars – move, learn and discover – are promoted in every corner of the globe.

The Snohomish Aquatic Center has lots of fun games and competitions planned for the water, as well as on land. Activities include inner tube race, tug boat race, water balloon relay, musical dots, water tic-tac-toe and more! This event will take place during that Thursday's open rec swim, but please make note of the following:

  • The event begins at 3:30 p.m.
  • Special event admission - $6 per person (passes not valid for this event).
  • There is no event presale.
  • Game participation is not mandatory.
  • There will be medals for the top finishers.

Surf 'N Splash Camp - Register Today

You can surf with a pro (really) at the Snohomish Aquatic Center! FlowRider pro Scott Callens has joined the Snohomish Aquatic Center team as one of our FlowRider instructors! If you want to learn to ride the waves like him and learn some cool moves/tricks, make sure you sign your kids up for our youth summer Surf 'N Splash camps!
Summer Swim Lessons - Spots Available
Swimming lessons save lives. This summer, learn to swim and stay safe in and around the water. Swim lessons at the Snohomish Aquatic Center are available in group, private, and semiprivate formats. Our program:
  • Is FUN!
  • Serves guests at any level - from those just getting familiar  with the water to beginner swimmers to others with competitive aspirations.
  • Has levels tailored to teach essential water safety skills and logical swim skill progression.
  • Includes opportunities for in-session advancement.
  • Works around busy schedules. We offer a wide variety of  session dates and times.

Join Our Piranhas Summer Swim Team

Calling all youth ages 6-18 - We want you be a part of our summer swim team!

The Snohomish Aquatic Center Piranhas are participating in this year’s Snohomish County Craze Summer Swim League. Being a part of this Snohomish County league provides athletes with opportunity to compete in short, fun swim meets (meet participation is not required). The main objective is to provide a fun, safe, recreational and competitive experience for area swimmers between the ages of 6 to 18 (participant age as of July 1, 2016).

Participating teams include the cities of Snohomish, Kirkland, Edmonds, Shoreline, Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace and Everett. The 2016 season officially begins in late June and is scheduled to end with the league championship meet in August.

Lunch & Literacy - Join Us


Kids' Café

All area kids age 18 and younger are invited to join us again this summer at our Kids' Café summer breakfast and lunch program. There is no pre-registration or sign-up. Kids just need to show up and enjoy a great breakfast and/or lunch. Kids' Café is being held Mondays through Fridays and runs Tuesday, June 21, through Friday, September 2. The program is free.
Meals will be served at:
  • Snohomish High School Cafeteria, 1316 5th Street, Snohomish
    • 8:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. (breakfast)
    • 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (lunch)
  • Snohomish Boys and Girls Club, 402 2nd Street, Snohomish
    • 8:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. (breakfast)
    • 11:30 a.m. – Noon (lunch)
  • Three Rivers Mobile Home Park, 13201 Elliott Road, Snohomish

Book Café

Make sure you also keep a lookout for the Book Café in a neighborhood near you! The Book Café will deliver free books for students to read throughout the summer. Watch for the Book Café vehicle on Mondays and Tuesdays (June 21 – August 30) at the following locations:
