September e-Newsletter.

Hasn't September gone by in a flash!
The first weekend saw me fly into the Gold Coast for a wedding, I was also able to slip in a sunrise shoot whilst there.  We held the third Veterans Instameet in The Rocks, Sydney with the largest turn out yet, 19 people with a total Instagram following of 53,020 people!

Don't forget, you can click on any of the images below to see more photos!

Cristelle & Cameron's Wedding.

I flew into the Gold Coast to photograph the stunning wedding of these two love birds.

Sunrise - Snapper Rocks, QLD .

I got up nice and early to capture the sunrise on the Gold Coast.

It wasn't the best sunrise I've experienced at Snapper but I was just happy it wasn't raining!

Cosmic Gems

I was able to get out whilst on the Gold Coast to take some more photos with the amazing Cosmic Gems.

Wolf Kanat.

Wolf Kanat, a Melbourne based suit designer, has been generous enough to supply my colleague Nathan and I with a suit each for when we meet clients during open houses and auctions. Don't we look sharp & smart?

Make sure you click on the below photos to see more from their wide range of designs.

Sunset - Cecil Hills Lake.

Timing is everything when it comes to photographing the sunset, in this case, I was just in time after rushing home from work.

I have had a few people ask how do you get the clouds moving causing the blur effect?

I use a Neutal Density filter (ND8 and ND1000) which screws onto the front of my lens then I set the cameras shutter to 30sec+ to create a long exposure. The ND filters esentially turn day into night allowing you to open the shutter for an extended period without the photo being blown out.

Come along to the next veterans instameet to learn more!

Veterans Instameet.

We held the third Veterans Instameet on Sunday 27th September in The Rocks. We met at 1pm and ended with a night shoot on Observatory Hill (after bring kicked out of Barangaroo Reserve) at 7pm.

Warrick and I had spent the past month scrolling through Instagram inviting veterans and instagrammers along to the shoot. We all came together with the common passion of photography, five of us veterans, everyone else was out to support us and to have fun.

Don't be fooled by the name, the Veterans Instameet is planned and run by veterans for anyone with a passion for photography to come together and share skills and ideas.

We're looking to hold another meet in November, let me know if you are interested in coming along.

No More Ugly Camera Bags.

The team at No More Ugly was generous enough to give away a brand new camera bag to one luck winner at the Veterans Instameet.

Jason Baker's photo, below, was chosen by No More Ugly as the most creative photo of the day to have feature one of their bags.

Not bad huh, just had to come along to our Instameet, take a few photos and now Jason walks away with a new bag!
