We are pleased to confirm that we have secured Griffith University's MATE (formerly MVP - Mentors in Violence Prevention) program Train the Trainer to Gippsland in March.  MATE is a leadership program focused on preventing all forms of violence. It utilises a bystander approach to prevention. The program does not view participants as either perpetrators or victims of violence. It views all participants as empowered bystanders who can confront, interrupt or prevent violence. The program seeks to enlist all people in the fight against violence by equipping them with the skills to be effective bystanders.
If you think you have the capacity and drive to become a MATE facilitator - you may like to consider applying.
Interested parties are asked to direct all enquiries to prevention@gwhealth.asn.au  and complete online application form https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MATEMarch2017 , however please note that completion of this form does not guarantee a position in the training

Successful applicants will be notified of their place prior to being invoiced.

New Make the Link Video

With support from Victoria against Violence, we released our first Make the Link video during 16 Days of Activism 2016.  We hope it helps people understand the link between gender inequality and violence against women.  Please feel free to share among your networks, or use in your organisation or community group for awareness raising and training.

You can find it on the Make the Link website and on YouTube
