This year has been pretty amazing.

The biggest news of the year was our move into our first home as a married couple (my first home ever), and as a family. It has given us not only enough space for us, but for Gracie's Gowns to have an office and storage area, eliminating some of our worries and stresses personally and organizationally. It's still a mess in here, as I have been long-term substituting 8th grade math and Algebra, but it is coming together and is functional for the moment.

We have also gained some of the most gracious, caring, and simply phenomenal sponsors this year too!

In September, we were featured in the Liberty Journal, shortly after its release we formed a partnership with Ashley Grace Bridal that has lead to now almost 90 gown requests in total sponsored in just three short months. This was our post from November!
Under our in stock gowns on the website, you can pick the gown of your choice and use the code AshleyGrace at checkout to receive your child's gown at little or no cost to you and your family ($5.00 is the cost for certain fabric options).

Coming Up Next...

Unfortunately, our custom requests will be down for a while longer. This x-ray belongs to me, and finally after a year of insurance chaos, conflicting orthopedic opinions, and failed symptom management, on January 15th, I will be having scoliosis repair surgery. My spine continues to shift more and other conditions have been discovered that leave surgical intervention as the only viable option. It is estimated that I will have a 1 month downtime, possibly two...but in stock gowns should still be do-able with the help of our volunteers!

New items on website for you or your child:

If you've followed us on Facebook for a while, you might know my daughter's BFF was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the end of June. We're happy to report that treatment is finished, and because of Matthew, we have been asked to work with Children's Hospital of Richmond to make PICC Line covers for the hospital! With this new addition, we have also added some to our website to help keep funds available for gown requests year round. Reusable Face Masks are also now available there too.

We only have three fundraisers slated to start and/or end in 2019. The first being our 2018 Quilt of the Year raffle that ends in January. I am pushing back the drawing date with my surgery, once I am home and mostly moving we will draw the winner.

The second will be Crawlin' for Gracie's Gowns 2019 this event was a first for us this year and SUPER fun - we look forward to having it again, but not only are we in need of event and business sponsors, we need a place to have it. The ideal place would have a building for vendors and activities in case of inclement weather, in addition to large parking area for contestants.

Our last fundraiser will be the 6th Annual (can you believe that!) Fall Raffle - it isn't posted yet, but we will for sure have it! We had our highest amounts of tickets sold this year to date, but we were just shy of our highest fundraising in 2019 we are seeking prize donors early!

From our crazy bunch of littles to yours...we hope you had an amazing, but restful holiday season. We wish you all the best for the new year, may it bring new dreams, brighter tomorrows, never ending compassion for others, and hope beyond all measure.
