Andy and Diana are available for Pride Month talks!

In addition to serving clients, Diana and Andy are thought leaders on LGBTQ issues and popular keynote speakers for universities, organizations, corporations, and other groups. For Pride Month, both Andy and Diana are available to give talks on current legal LGBTQ issues, including same-sex marriage and transgender issues; the Supreme Court and the fate of LGBTQ Americans; cultural competency and sensitivity for attorneys and other professionals serving transgender and gender non-conforming clients; and opportunities for corporate leadership with LGBTQ employees.  Diana also speaks frequently about comparative policy between the USA and Europe on LGBTQ issues.

For attorneys, these talks often qualify for CLE credit and meet the new CLE requirement for Diversity & Inclusion training.

Contact us if you’d like Diana or Andy to speak to your organization in honor of Pride Month this June, or on another date.
Euro LGBT Family Law Institute Inaugural Meeting
April 7, 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany

Diana is the Director of the Euro LGBT Family Law Institute, an international branch of the US LGBT Family Law Institute (FLI), a professional community of leading practitioners in LGBT family law, sponsored by the National LGBT Bar Association and National Center for Lesbian Rights, for which Diana and Andy are both proud to be among the New York State representatives. Our own Of Counsel attorney Bill Singer founded FLI and now serves as the International Director.

On April 7, Diana will host the inaugural Euro Family Law Institute meeting in Frankfurt, Germany, with the support of the whole firm, Bill, Andy, and Amy. This meeting will bring together leaders in the LGBT family law movement across Europe, most for the first time, such as Alexander Schuster, who led the same-sex marriage movement in Italy, and Gabriela Lünsmann, who was a leader of this movement in Germany.

Please help us spread the word to your colleagues in both the U.S. and Europe who have a significant practice area in LGBT family law.  More information and the registration form can be found here:

How to Decide Whether to Come Out as Poly/Kinky Online:
A new article by Diana Adams
For over a decade, Diana has supported our clients to evaluate the benefits and risks of Coming Out, whether as LGBTQ+, involved in BDSM/kink, or in consensually non-monogamous / polyamorous relationships. For those who are considering whether to Come Out as poly or kinky online, this new article on Safety In Coming Out Online will offer a summary of the challenges Diana recommends contemplating. We hope you’ll read it, share this resource on social media, and join the conversation there.
Andy Speaking on Queer & Trans Liberation,
LGBTQ Cultural Comptency & Trauma

On February 16th, Andy spoke at the Rebellious Lawyering Conference at Yale Law School as part of a panel on Queer and Trans Liberation Through Direct Service, along with Mik Kinkead from the Sylvia Rivera Law Project and Alejandra Caraballo from the New York Legal Assistance Group. The Rebellious Lawyering Conference is based on a concept imagined by Gerald López -- the idea that lawyers can pursue meaningful social change by working to empower the subordinated to advocate for themselves in future struggles -- and Andy first attended it as a student in 2011. Over the years, Reblaw has been a source of inspiration and solidarity, and Andy was honored and excited to contribute.

On Friday, February 23rd, Andy is speaking with Geoff Kagan-Trenchard on LGBTQ cultural competency and trauma awareness for legal practitioners at the Immigration and Asylum Conference at New York Law School, presented by the Federal Bar Association, Immigration Law Section, the Southern District of New York Chapter, and the International Law Section.
