Reminder: P-EBT Benefits Available
We want Roxbury Prep families to know that the P-EBT benefit has been extended for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year. All students who attend Roxbury Prep are eligible to receive Pandemic-EBT funding to support families while their students are attending remote learning. You do not need to apply to receive this benefit. The balance will automatically be applied to your existing EBT card or an EBT card will be sent directly to you. Families should expect to receive the next set of funds sometime in late January. If you have questions about the P-EBT program or did not receive your funds, please review this website or reach out to Project Bread at (800) 645-8333 with questions.
Help us Recruit New Students!
Roxbury Prep is accepting applications for new students and siblings of current students for 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade for the 2021-2022 school year!
At Roxbury Prep, we are proud of our scholars and our school, and want more children to have the same opportunities. Roxbury Prep knows the habits and skills your student builds in middle school and high school will prepare them for college and will support them later in life.
We need your help to help us get the word out, and positively impact more children in Boston. A large majority of our new families learn about Roxbury Prep because they heard about our school through a friend or family member. Roxbury Prep is currently accepting applications for our lottery until February 28, 2021, so we are encouraging interested families to apply to our schools as soon as possible.
If your current Roxbury Prep student has a sibling that is eligible to attend, you must complete the application at www.applybostoncharters.org by February 28, 2021 to receive sibling preference in our lottery.
By referring Roxbury Prep to your family and friends, you could be entered to win one of three $100 gift cards to Target! To be entered to win:
- Submit a complete referral through our online referral form.
- Roxbury Prep staff will contact the person you referred and help them fill out an application by phone or online.
- For each completed application that you refer by February 28th, you’ll be entered into our prize drawing!

MBTA Service Changes:
The MBTA is implementing service changes in response to the low ridership caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Changes on the bus network and subway system will take place on March 14th, and will include reducing frequency on some bus and subway lines, as well as eliminating, shortening, or combining various bus routes. The Commuter Rail will also undergo additional scheduling changes, starting April 5th.
Ahead of these changes, the MBTA will host two virtual public meetings on February 17th and February 24th, from 6pm to 8pm. These meetings will provide an opportunity for riders to learn more about the changes and ask questions. For more information about the Spring Service Changes and to register for the public meetings, please visit https://www.mbta.com/servicechanges. Folks who are not available to join the public meetings can still ask us questions by registering here for our weekly virtual coffee chats.
