Spotlight on big debates

The Lisbon Addictions team has been working hard to put together a conference programme that will showcase cutting-edge research to help characterise, understand and respond to addiction and addictive behaviours.

Be prepared for three days packed with high-level content; packages of topical strands, sessions and guided poster tours developed by our co-producers, along with networking opportunities during the lunches, the opening cocktail and conference dinner.

We are thrilled to announce a series of big debates this year, with one scheduled at the end of each day. The debates, involving audience participation, will be led by a professional moderator and the panel members will be announced soon!

The topics under debate will be:

  • Will changes in cannabis policy result in greater costs or greater benefits?
  • Industry friend of foe? Can industry contribute to better addiction science, policy, and actions?
  • Is there sufficient participation of civil society and effected communities in shaping drug policies and drug services?

Sign-up to follow the conference via our Twitter and Facebook accounts to keep updated and take part in the debates!
