Get ready for #LXAddictions15!

More than 400 participants — researchers, practitioners and policy experts from all over the world and a range of specialist areas — have already registered to attend the First European conference on addictive behaviours and dependencies to be held in Lisbon on 23–25 September.

For all of the above, who are currently preparing their trip to Lisbon, visit our recently published Information package full of tips and practical details concerning Lisbon, the venue, transport and more. Guidelines for speakers and chairs are also available.

We recommend you book your hotel as soon as possible (all registered participants have access to preferential hotel rates). Lisbon is a very popular destination for tourists in September due to its very mild temperatures and its beautiful location by the sea.

Places for the event are limited! Make sure you don’t miss out and register by 30 June. After that date, any remaining places will be more expensive!

More collaborative partners

After having teamed up with renowned international partners, the conference organisers have recently joined forces with additional partners, who will contribute to the scientific excellence of the event. These include:
  • Alice Rap: a European research project, co-financed by the European Commission, which aims to stimulate a broad and productive debate on science-based policy approaches to addictions
  • RARHA: a Joint Action on Reducing Alcohol Related Harms, funded by the European Union under the second EU Health Programme
  • ERANID: a network of eleven organisations from six different EU Member States (Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal and the United Kingdom) focusing on strengthening cross-border research in various aspects of the illicit drugs problem.

Satellite meetings

Several satellite meetings will take place in the margins of the conference. A first overview has just been published.

The Alice Rap satellite symposium on 22 September at the conference venue will be open and free of charge to participants attending the Lisbon Addictions conference. Further details >>
