Professional Development Workshops
In September CMF's 2013 and 2014 Artists came together for a two-day workshop entitled "The working musician: everything except the notes" at the St Bride Foundation.
A range of experts covered topics such as:
- working with managers, agents and promoters
- programming and new formats
- PR & marketing
- contracts
- budgets, taxes and planning for the future

With that many talented and inspiring young musicians in one place, it was hardly surprising that the lively discussions sparked by the various sessions continued into the breaks and at a special drinks reception in the evening. There was a great buzz and we think that this comes across in the photo shoot with Benjamin Ealovega.

The feedback from the participants has helped us plan the next two half-day sessions in December and February, on marketing / social media / biographies, and on budgeting / contracts / the legal aspects of the recording process. More information to follow...
The CMF Annual Dinner will be held on 24th February 2015 at 7 pm in the Banking Hall, Cornhill.

This will be an opportunity to hear outstanding musicians in a range of musical genres, and show you the breadth of support they can all receive through being selected as CMF Artists.  The event will also raise funds for the CMF.

More details to follow but meanwhile please save the date!
