The winds of winter are on the way, but that doesn't mean that the city's music scene is cooling down. It's November, and with the new month the Nashville Fringe Festival is happy to invite you to join us for one of several special events around town including the return of Meant for the Milk Crate at The Cobra.

The event will go down Saturday, November 9 and will be hosted by AL-D and E.T. with sounds by DJ Vamp. The show will also feature performances by Top Notch, Cronyk Illness, King the MC & Odd Moon, with an open mic cypher after the show! (2511 Gallatin Ave. / 9:30 – 21+ – $10 cover)

Another unique event goes down that night, where Friend of the Fringe Greg Bryant will bring his Expansion to Nine48jazz for a special fundraiser for the Nashville Jazz Workshop’s Charles H. Dungey Jr. Scholarship. $20 minimum donation / show at 7pm / 948 35th Ave. N. Nashville, 37209.

Tonight will also see a special event featuring Friend of the Fringe Rahsaan Barber, who will be bringing his quartet (with Bruce Dudley, John Birdsong & Chester Thompson) to City Winery for a performance of Hank Mobley’s Soul Station. The show kicks off at 7pm.
And to close out the newsletter, let's go back to 2016 for a FREE download/stream of that year's Fall/Winter sampler. Download or listen to the entire compilation here, which features music from *repeat repeat, Sexx, Frances and the Foundation, the Shadowtones, Markey Blue, Jeni Calhoun, RACQ Music, E.T., AL-D, and Nam White.
