Election Day Proves to be Positive for Business in the Capital Region
The results are in and it was a great night for the Metro Chamber! The Metro PAC supported 28 candidates and measures throughout the region with 25 of those coming out on top. This is the culmination of months of hard work by Metro Chamber leadership and the PAC board.
Below is a statement from our President & CEO, Amanda Blackwood following the results of election day.
“The Metro Chamber and its Members are energized by last night’s regional election results. Voters chose candidates supported by the Metro Chamber and the Metro PAC who are for business and committed to creating an environment in which our businesses grow and our workforce is in demand. In addition, voters sided with the Metro Chamber in overwhelming support for Measure U, which will provide the City of Sacramento significant new funds to bring catalytic economic and inclusive development. We will continue the momentum of last night’s victories through our ongoing engagement with civic leaders, including accountability for Measure U funds, to ensure it provides the greatest impact for a vibrant community.”
