Includes free resources and checklist to help you outsmart disaster for your business.
The workshop is made possible through a partnership with the Metro Chamber and the California Business, Consumer Service and Housing Agency. Workshop will be led by recognized business resiliency expert Nora O'Brien of Connect Consulting Services, Inc., an emergency management and business continuity planning firm.

Leadership Sacramento Accepting Class Project Nominations
Leadership Sacramento classes have been impacting our region by supporting a different nonprofit for the past 32 years. In the past five years, Leadership Sacramento have invested over $1.3 million in community nonprofits by select a nonprofit to be the focus of their class project.
Applications Open for Measure U Oversight Committee
The City of Sacramento is accepting applications from people interested in serving on the new Measure U Community Advisory Committee that will oversee Measure U spending. Mayor and Council offices will hold four informational sessions for potential applicants between before the first week of January 2019. Dates will be announced as soon as the sessions are scheduled.
As approved by the Council on Oct. 2, the new Measure U Community Advisory Committee will have 15 members, nine appointed by the Mayor and Council members from each council district and six by the Personnel & Public Employees Committee, which will select candidates based on the list of criteria including members representing young professionals, business, health and education sectors.
Art Engagement Selected as Priority for Inspire Giving
This year, Inspire Giving will support organizations that bring diverse people together to foster improvements in livability and to create a stronger sense of community in the capital region. The Inspire Giving team has selected 'Arts Engagement' as the priority giving area for 2019, aligning with the Sacramento Metro Chamber's 4-Point Business Promise to create a more vibrant community.
Proposals are being accepted through Dec. 21. Arts engagement proposals should be temporary in nature. This will be the ninth round of award giving from the Inspire Giving program, and will include monetary contributions (up to $10,000), in-kind services, and/or volunteer support.
