Now the disciples had forgotten to bring any bread; and they had only one loaf with them in the boat.

Mark 8:14

Jesus multiplied bread and fish again. He fed 4,000 people and there were 7 baskets of leftovers. But when Jesus and the disciples loaded the boat, they forgot to bring the leftovers. Yet, curiously, Mark writes that there was one loaf in the boat. An argument ensued over the leftovers. Jesus chastised them – did they not have eyes to see? He is the Loaf on the Boat and where he is there is always provision.
