Join us at the first King's Sustainability Forum!
We would like to invite you to the first 2013/14 student Sustainability Forum.
Meet the team, share your ideas and learn about opportunities to get involved! We will be joined by Felix Spira, entrepreneur at rootAbility, a social business focusing on sustainability in the higher education sector. As a student he co-founded the successful Green Office at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands. He will share his experiences and offer some inspiration and ideas on how to make an impact at university!
We will serve drinks and nibbles from 18.00 onwards, so make sure you get there early and do bring food to share with others!
31 October, 18.00-19.30.
: Pyramid Room, 4th floor King's Building, Geography Department, Strand Campus.
Yes please - let us know
if you're coming so we have enough drinks and nibbles and feel free to share
the event on Facebook.
Sustainability at King's update
This newsletter will keep you updated about new opportunities to get involved and sustainability developments at the College. There have been some changes to Sustainability at King's (previously Green Reggie):
We recently welcomed Kat Thorne as Head of Sustainability. She helped the University of Greenwich rise to first place in last year's People and Planet Green League. We are very happy to have her on board, and exited about the plans for this academic year!
We’ll be looking for people to help us over the year and we’ll advertise volunteering and job opportunities - see to the right for the current opportunity to help us creatively communicate!
Can't attend the forum? Just let us know here how you would like to get involved!

The market will return every Tuesday from 09.00 to 14.00. All food is grown and processed locally, within a 100 miles of London. Find out more on the London Farmers Markets
