Thank You
for Making Our Launch a Success!

On October 24th, NWPC Silicon Valley rebooted its chapter in the heart of downtown San Jose.  Elected officials in attendance were Santa Clara County Sheriff Laurie Smith, San Jose Vice Mayor Madison Nguyen, Santa Clara County Board of Education member Darcie Green, Evergreen Valley College trustee Wendy Ho, and Franklin McKinley School Board members Maya Esparza and Buu Thai.

Madeleine Albright once said, "there's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women." This should also be true for those who do not properly thank allies for their assistance. We would like to give a special thank you to Close the Gap for their encouragement and promotion of our chapter and into the women's political community.  Thank you for helping us break out into the scene!

Check out some pictures from the event here and join us at any of our future events as posted here.

Are you passionate about helping bright, self-motivated, progressive women candidates committed to effective political leadership? Did you serve on the NWPC Santa Clara County caucus in the past?  If so, we would love to talk to you about the possibilities of becoming an NWPC SV Board Member.

As we step into our inaugural (restart) year, we prepare for new innovative ways of educating the community about why women matter in elected office, recruiting women to run for elected office, and assist with leadership development training for our female candidates. If you’d like more information, are interested in joining our Board of Directors, or serve on our Honorary Board during this exciting time, please contact Angelica Ramos, angelica@nwpcsiliconvalley.org.
