"where advent begins"
liturgical art (c) by jan richardson
Here are some of the reverberations (and other gifts!) of our worship for Advent II from the Community of the Benedictine Grange. For over 40 years this vibrant association has gathered for liturgical prayer throughout the seasons of the Christian year under the direction and inspiration of Father John Giuliani in a rustic barn in Connecticut. Now, our barn shuttered and our priest retired, we have found new and creative ways to continue to meet virtually, deeply, beautifully, for the joy and the need of it. Join us.
We gather for the remaining Saturday evenings of Advent at 7 PM for liturgy of the Word and likewise for Eucharist on Christmas Eve. We resume our regular Sunday morning prayer at 10 AM as we move faithfully into the new year. Everyone is welcome. Click here to ZOOM in:
Meanwhile, enjoy these echoes of our Advent II liturgy and some other beautiful resources as we continue to explore Thomas Merton's wisdom for this season. There is a homily, a song, a mini-4 minute cinema prayer, a video of our gathering, and some Advent "koans" to keep us awake. Just click below on the word OPEN to receive a blessing.
