Juneteenth is not a moment in history, but a movement throughout history that summons us all to the long march toward freedom for everyone, everywhere - and especially here in these still trying to be "United States."

While we mark the day of Emancipation for enslaved persons in the United States, we commit to the ongoing labor of true liberation these centuries on.

And so we must keep on keeping on, building the Beloved Community every step of the way.  Building justice. Building authentic freedom.  Laying down the pathways on which we will walk toward each other, to embrace each other, and raise each other up.  Joyous work.  Arduous work.  Holy work.  O happy day.

We welcome this Ecozoic word from our friend, Edgar Hays,
of "Freedom Farm,"
and wishful all those engaged in struggles of emancipation
more energy and good friends to keep us at it.
