26th Sunday in Ordinary Time (Year C)
29TH SEPTEMBER 2019

INTRODUCTION

"We are merely servants." It is a wonderful thing to serve God.

SCRIPTURE READINGS

Habakkuk 1:2-3,2:2-4 "How long, Lord ..." These words are scattered throughout Scripture, as a recurrent protest against God's apparent slowness to act. Pending God's action on behalf of his people, our task is to live an upright, faithful life.
2 Timothy 1:6-8,13-14 "Not timidity, less still shame or embarrassment, but a flaming courageous witness to the truths of our faith. That is the wonderful challenge this reading lays down form us.
Luke 17:5-10 May we be grateful not only for what the Lord gives us, but for all that he asks of us.

The full Mass readings for this Sunday and for the next seven days can be found here courtesy of universalis.comThe Universalis app for Android and iOS provides offline access to all Mass and Divine Office texts for the complete liturgical cycle on your mobile device for a one-off cost of £9.99.
