11TH AUGUST 2019

HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION - THE ASSUPMTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

Vigil Mass on Wednesday 14th August at 7pm and at 9:30am and 7:00pm on Thursday 15th August.

INTRODUCTION

As we gather for Mass, let us ask for a renewed faith and a sincere sorrow for our sins and failings.

SCRIPTURE READINGS

Wisdom 18:6-9 The writer of Wisdom reminds us of faithful people who found courage and freedom in the commitments they had taken.
Hebrews 11:1-2,8-19 A key to faith is found in the example of Abraham: it was faith that he found the courage to set out without a detailed route plan!
Luke 12:32-48 Be ready! Bi ullamh! Readiness, alertness, wakefulness - these are crucial to authentic discipleship.
