Hints for a great photo
Practice a nice smile at home ... not too big and not too small.
Long hair is best styled so that it is out of your child's face, and especially out of their eyes.

Are you wondering what the goals and objectives of the 3-year-old program are?
For September, we will be focusing on the theme of "Myself and my Friends" This theme is a gentle introduction to our social thinking program and introduces the concepts of being an individual (own time) and being now part of a group (group time). We will be engaging in many activities that explore what our bodies can do, as well as activities that help us learn about our new friends and interact positively with them.
We will focus on our social skills such as sharing, turn-taking and communicating. We hope the students will make friends with peers and develop trust in their teachers. We provide many opportunities for children to develop their fine motor skills (holding pencils and cutting with scissors) and gross motor skills (in movement activities). Other goals include listening skills during circle time and learning to follow classroom rules and routines. We hope they will have fun while gaining self-confidence and flexibility.

And what are the 4-year-olds going to be up to?
With the 4-year-olds we will be beginning the year off with an "All About Me" theme where we will be doing some fun activities in an effort to get to know one another better and get settled in our classes. We will also begin our social thinking program with a focus on body and emotional awareness. In the last week of September classes will go on a Fall Walk. Teachers will choose a best fit day for this nearer the time and communicate dates and times through Class Dojo.
FRIENDLY REMINDERS
- Please provide a labelled backpack for your child to bring to school each day. Please ensure that the backpack is large enough to accommodate a snack bag, a change of clothes, and any crafts that your child may bring home. This allows for a quicker exit time form class and promotes more independence.
- Label all your children's clothing.
- Each child should bring a clearly labelled snack bag and water bottle to school everyday.
- Dress your children in play clothing & seasonable outdoor wear.
- Your child must wear indoor shoes at all times, no slippers or sandals please.
- Please park in the designated parking areas. No drop offs in the NO PARKING ZONE.
- All parents and children enter the preschool through the lower gym doors.
- Please refrain from bringing toys from home to school.
- 3 year olds - please leave an extra set of clothes in your child's backpack at all times (pants, shirts, underwear) This will help us if your child has an accident.
