Our theme for October is Numbers. We will be exploring numbers through lots of movement activities, games and finger plays. We will also be introducing Mat Man to explore numbers of body parts. In class we will be setting up our very own Grocery Store complete with shopping carts, lots of food, and cash registers. For the last couple of weeks in October we will be doing lots of exciting activities to do with Halloween. On Thurs Oct 27th we will have a Halloween Party. Children are invited to come in fancy dress. Please make sure the costume is not too hot. We also ask that children do not wear masks for safety reasons. Each child will be making a treat bag and it will be put out in the hallway.  Parents can bring treats for the children if they wish. Please make sure all treats are nut/peanut free. Children will not need to bring in a snack that day as we will be decorating cookies.
Our theme for November will be Fairy Tales. We have lots of exciting activities planned to help the children remember the Fairy Tales.

Hints for a great photo

Practice a nice smile at home ... not to big and not to small.

Long hair is best styled so that it is out of your child's face, and especially out of their eyes.

In October our themes are Fall and Halloween followed by Nursery Rhymes and Nutrition in November.  We have many exciting activities planned so be sure to check out your monthly class calendars.  October 28th – Halloween Concert Day – The children are invited to come to school in their costumes for the day.  Just a note, some of the really heavy costumes get hot for these young children during class time.  You may want to opt for a lighter version of their costume for during the day.  For safety reasons, we ask that there be NO MASKS please.  Each of the children will have a treat bag out in the hallway.  You may put in treats if you wish, just please ensure that they are peanut and nut free.  The children WILL NOT need to bring a snack on this day as we will be decorating a special treat to eat at school.  Parents are invited to attend a short Halloween concert that will take place in the classrooms at 11:00am for the morning classes and 3:00pm for the afternoon classes.
