On the other hand, when we consider which of the virtues should govern our relationships with other human beings, then it is clear that mercy directed to our neighbors in need is the supreme virtue in man (II-II.30.4).” - St. Thomas Aquinas
Become a #discipleofmercy this Lent!
Disciple of Christ-Education in Virtue® is structured on the teachings of St. Thomas Aquinas regarding the virtues and gifts of the Holy Spirit.  On the Feast Day of St. Thomas Aquinas, we invite you to become a #discipleofmercy this Lent, with our new publication, Disciple of Mercy Journal. While this journal begins with the first week of Lent, it can also be used anytime during the Year of Mercy.

The journal includes a 12-week cycle which focuses on a weekly Scripture reading. Each day has questions to guide your reflection and enable you to delve deeper into God's word. Additional sections include how to incorporate the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy into your daily life, and a virtue-based Examination of Conscience.

Join us for this Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy. Encourage a friend, family member or fellow student to become a #discipleofmercy.

Plan for the upcoming season of Lent by actively reading scripture, practicing the works of mercy, and examining your conscience.   As you open your mind and heart to the Holy Spirit and encounter the Word of God, you will begin to experience a renewed faith and a closer relationship with the Person of Jesus Christ.

Recommended for junior high, high school students and adults.

Let us not forget that God forgives and God forgives always...Let us never tire of asking for forgiveness.” Pope Francis
To learn more about Education in Virtue, we invite you to read the following article printed in the National Catholic Register on January 18, 2016:
Dominican Nun-Principal Purposefully Teaches Virtue
Dominican Sister John Dominic, a foundress of the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist in Ann Arbor, Mich., has been involved in Catholic education for 30 years, working with catechesis and developing curriculum.
Her newest work is the Life of Christ: A Lectio Divina Journal, a companion book that amplifies the highly successful and much-used interactive virtue program she created called The Disciple of Christ: Education in Virtue.
Catholic schools, as well as home-schooling communities around the country, have been using the virtues program quite effectively. So has the family of NFL quarterback Philip more.

"The Life of Christ Lectio Divina Journal is a magnificent resource for teaching young people how to read Scripture in conversation with God. It draws readers to reflect deeply on each biblical passage through thought-provoking questions and fine art from Christian tradition. It allows the word of God to touch both mind and heart. What a beautiful way to help form a lifetime habit of prayer and lectio divina. I wish something like this had been available in my generation! May it have great success."
Dr. Mary Healy
