Lenten Journal | Liturgical Year A

"Every athlete exercises discipline in every way. They do it to win a perishable crown, but we an imperishable one." 1 Corinthians 9:25

Disciple of Christ-Education in Virtue® presents the 2017 Lenten Journal to help you use the liturgical season as a time of discipline and growth, or 'conditioning,' that you might grow closer to the Person of Jesus Christ. After praying for the gift of self-knowledge to recognize an area of your heart which needs 'conditioning,' you will be able to open your mind and heart to the Holy Spirit and encounter the Word of God using lectio divina as well as give praise to Him using the gratitude log. The journal also allows for meditation by providing beautiful images of the Stations of the Cross. We hope this journal will help you experience a renewed faith to be one step closer to win the imperishable crown.

What is Lectio Divina?

Meditation - What does the biblical text say to you?
Prayer- What do you say to the Lord in response to His Word?
Contemplation - What conversion of mind, heart and life is the Lord asking of you?
Action - How is your life a gift of self for others in charity?
